Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are honestly the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever tasted. They are the perfect combination of chewy and crispy. This is my go-to dessert to make whenever I need to bring a dessert somewhere because they are super easy and always a crowd-pleaser. And they’re so quick easy to make too!

Variations: add other mix-ins like nuts or pretzel bits


Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons nonfat milk powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips
1 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 375˚F.

Melt butter and mix with the brown sugar and white sugar until combined. Add egg and vanilla. Stir until the mixture looks glossy.

In a separate bowl, mix together the flours, milk powder, salt, baking power, and baking soda until combined. Stir dry mixture into the wet mixture. Add the chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed.

Drop dough balls about 1 inch in diameter onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper or a silicon mat. Bake for 8 – 11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the middle is still soft. Cool for 2 minutes on the tray and then transfer to a cooling rack.
